The Zen and Mind-Freedom of Mowing

Sometimes when mowing, I have to stop and watch an ant at work — carrying a bee.

I concentrate on mowing; pushing up the hills, not running over our flowers. I love the physical act of mowing; the exercise of it; the fact that if I’m mowing that means warm weather is here. Being warm makes me happy. Sometimes my intense focus on the task at hand frees my mind to catch random ideas.
